Four people, including a woman, died when a house collapsed in the storm, while a 3-year-old girl was seriously injured. The deceased include Umda Devi, wife of Surendra Mushar, resident of Patori, Singheshwar police station area, Arhuliya Devi, wife of Kuldeep Mandal, resident of Majharhat, Rudra Narayan Prasad Yadav, resident of Joragma and Vikas Kumar, son of Sudhir Yadav, resident of Kushwaha. While Nisha Kumari, the three-year-old daughter of Pramod Mandal, a resident of Heerapatti in Kumarkhand block area, has been seriously injured. Nisha is currently being treated at JNKT Medical College.

Death due to neck cut and wall fall

According to relatives, Vikas Kumar’s neck was cut by a tin (Chandra) due to a strong storm, due to which he died painfully. While Umda Devi died after being buried in the falling house. Whereas, Rudra Narayan Prasad Yadav, a resident of Jorgama Ward 7, died. Rudra Narayan Prasad Yadav got seriously injured due to the storm. In a hurry, the family members rushed him to Murliganj Hospital, where seeing his critical condition, the doctor referred him to the Medical College, where he died during treatment.

People did not take precautions even after there was a possibility of storm. The sheets of many people’s houses and places were blown away in the wind. Due to this carelessness, a young man’s throat was cut by blowing a sheet in a strong storm in Madhepura, due to which he died painfully.
